A Happy 5 Year Old

My pink and purple girl turned 5 on Tuesday. She requested a pink cake, pink frosting, and pink icing. This was much easier to provide than last year's blue cake, blue frosting, and blue ice cream. We had a small family party, but my mom was able to spend the evening with us celebrating dd's big day. Grandma read stories and hugged and snuggled both of the little girls while I prepared the requested pizza for dinner. I haven't read to the children for the last few weeks, due to illness and my little girls really enjoyed sharing the books with Grandma.

Glenda, The pizza was terrific. Michael said that it was the best ever. I goofed when I was mixing ingredients and doubled the yeast. One of those walk away and return to finish the project errors. The crust was crispy and chewy.

Yippee! I'm glad it turned out. I'll be making more this weekend as dd#2's birthday is on Friday. Btw, you can make up multiple crusts, bake them about half the time, and then cool and freeze them for later use. Then you can just pull one out, thaw, put on the toppings and bake.
