Stephen is 14!

Yesterday, Steve turned 14. He had spent the day before having an all day pellet gun war with some of the guys from his fencing class. When I called to see what time to pick him up, he asked if he could spend the night with his best friend who returned to public school in November. I picked him up around 9:30am so we could spend his birthday with him. He was stiff and sore from so much running around and from some of the hits he took with pellets. He used up an entire container of pellets! No wonder he was so sore. After a 4 hour nap, he played some Wii games with us and chose his favorite dinner, followed by chocolate shakes. YUM!

While Steve was napping, Amy cleaned out the two games cupboards and I cleaned Paige and Allie's bedroom, which were in worse shape than I had thought. It took us 6 hours to complete both jobs, but I'm so glad that organization has been restored.

About 10:00pm, we lost power, due to strong winds. Our house got pretty cold last night, even with the fireplace running. Power was restored around 10:30 this morning, so our New Year's Eve festivities can continue as planned.

Buster is almost completely house trained! Life is good.
