My children are all taking a Generation E Entrepreneur class once a week. The kids work on developing business plans and eventually run their own business. There are three different competitions that the students may enter during the school year. In January, three of my kids entered the IGNITE's Youth Inventors Competition. Joseph tied for third place with his business plan for "Animal Man Pet Services". The judges were impressed with the variety of services the business would provide and the thoroughness of his business plan. Joe won $50 and will attend a winner's banquet in Lansing in the fall. He will also be featured on literature for the program and on the IGNITE website.
