Today, several of the kids had a Pioneer meeting. The girls painted planters and filled them with pansies to give to their moms for Mother's Day. When the girls brought their planters to the van, I was asked to look away while their presents were hidden. After arriving at home, one of the girls presented me with the beautiful planter that was decorated using green (my favorite color) paint.
A short time later, another one of my daughters showed off her planter, pointing out the beautiful flowers that she had painted, using pink, which is her favorite color. My daughter handed me a card and said that she had worked hard on the card. She then mentioned that she was keeping the planter. She explained that she REALLY wanted some plants and that she would take good care of them. I was informed that I could look at HER plants any time I wanted to enjoy them. She may need a little help understanding the idea that presents are supposed to be given away.
