What's Black and White and Red All Over?

What's black and white and red all over? The boy's new bedroom! The boys had a tough time deciding on a color scheme for the new room. Their old room was tangerine orange and white, so a fear of color was not the problem. Joe wanted 2 black walls and 2 navy blue walls. Steve wanted 2 black walls and 2 orange walls. They also wanted a black ceiling. It took two coats of primer and two coats of paint. Boy, are my arms sore!

I didn't want two bedrooms that were cave-like. We compromised on white trim, windows, and ceiling with black and red walls. I plan to use white blinds on the windows and gray carpeting on the floors. Here are the before and after painting photos.

Other painting projects completed this weekend were Katie's neon green and black bedroom, a white hallway, and a white bathroom. There needed to be some rooms that weren't a blast of color on the second floor!
