Because There Was Nothing To Do Today

Mike got out of bed this morning and headed to the shower. One side of his chest hurt. Any time he tried to move his arm, he was in extreme pain. He decided to forgo the shower, returned to bed and called work to explain that he wouldn't be in today. I let him sleep all morning and offered ice packs or the heating pad. By 3:45 this afternoon there was no improvement, so Mike tried to get an appointment at the doctor's office. (Don't ask me why he didn't call in the morning when it would have been possible. It must be a guy thing!) We ended up in the emergency room.

Three and a half hours later, we have returned home. Boy, is it COLD outside. He pulled a muscle. The emergency room doctors gave him a shot for inflammation and a shot for pain. I need to head out again to pick up the prescriptions. He isn't allowed to lift anything over 5 pounds for the next 10 days. I'm not sure if he is going to work tomorrow or not. If he stays home, we will have time with him until the 26th. I'm sorry that he is in pain, but it would be wonderful to have the extra family time together.
