Confidence

I got my hair cut yesterday on the spur of the moment. It's been a long time since I had the time and money for a haircut at the same time. The stylist took off about 10 inches and my hair is now shoulder length. My hair looks a lot better and my head feels lighter. When we left the salon, I realized that I was standing up straight and not holding my head down as I walked to the car. I was much more comfortable with how I appeared. Am I that shallow that a simple haircut will determine my self-confidence in public? I'm still over-weight and drive an ugly van. Nothing else changed. Vanity thy name is woman!

But I still feel better! :)

A new haircut always reminds me of being a kid and getting a new pair of shoes, I was always sure that I could run faster and jump higher in new shoes. Congrats on the new haircut! I'm not sure that I'd call it vanity, but it sure is a boost to how I feel when I get one too.
