Teddy Bear Factory and Jiffy Mix Factory Tours

The 6 younger children and I headed for Chelsey Michigan this morning. We first visited the Teddy Bear Factory. The factory has a museum featuring historic Teddy Bear memorabilia and a collection of Teddy bears.

These are the bears that greet guests when they enter the shop/museum.

This is one of the oldest bears in the museum. The little elephant on the right is a replica of the first soft animal, which was created by the Steifs.

Paige and Allie with one of their good friends in front of barrels of completed bears.

The largest true teddy bear in the world. The bear isn't mounted, simply stuffed.

After lunch, we headed to the Jiffy Mix plant. We were able to tour the factory and everyone received a free box of mix. The kids are planning to do a lot of baking in the upcoming week!

Note the terrific hairnets that we all wore during our tour.

All in all, it was a fun day. Our trip home made it especially memorable, but that's another blog post.
