Madelyn and Joe went for a bike ride this morning. They returned with a large turtle. We live about 1 block from a creek and the kids frequently come home with new pets. I'm thankful that it wasn't another snake this time. The turtle is now hanging out in an old wading pool that we use to hold ice and beverages for parties. He will probably live her for the next day or so and then we will release him in the creek. Having the children explore the world around them is nature study at it's most interesting.
