My youngest two girls were playing dolls this morning before breakfast. Often, I hear brief conversations. This is what I heard today.
Doll 1: "Hi, I just moved in next door."
Doll 2: "My name is Muffy. What's your name?"
Doll 1: "My name is Melody. Do you have a daddy?"
My youngest two girls live fairly sheltered lives. They have friends come over to play, take dance classes, attend church and Sunday School. Almost all of their friends come from traditional families. How sad that children without a father is so prevalent that it's a normal question to ask a new friend.
