Stuff everywhere and Not a Box in Sight

Amy has been bringing me boxes from the college library whenever she comes home. She has been getting the boxes that hold reams of paper. They are great boxes. Mike sometimes remembers to bring home boxes from work. He brings slightly bigger boxes that have been a great size. They hold quite a bit of stuff and don't get too heavy.

We ran out of packing boxes a few days ago. Amy checked for boxes at several store, but they don't give out boxes. Dollar General sends their boxes back on the truck. Most stores crush their boxes immediately. I hate the thought of needing to purchase boxes from a moving or packaging store. Mike brought home some garbage bags in pastel colors yesterday for me to use for packing. They will work for clothing and linens, but not too well for glassware, dishes, books, craft supplies, books, artwork, books, toys, school supplies, and books. Did I mention that the books are not all packed? Any thoughts on where I can get more boxes?

Things may have changed, but we talked to a liquor store when we moved 7 years ago and they saved their boxes for us. I think we got most of ours from the liquor part of Meijer. We did have to go talk to them in the morning and then go back and pick them up the very next day in the afternoon. If we didn't show up by a certain time then they crushed them. They made great book boxes for moving.

When we move I went to super Wal-mart you have to go there late around midnight to 1 when they are restocking everything. The best boxes are the diaper and ceral. And the best part is they are free. Hope this helps.
