New Year's Eve

Happy New Year! Mike had to work yesterday until 7:00, so our celebration had a slow start. Amy got up early and made homemade cheesecake and then made pizza for dinner/snacking. Joe and Steve sliced cheese (we really like cheese around here!) and gathered crackers, snack foods and serving trays.

Due to last weeks migraines, our laundry pile was massive. I spent the day doing endless loads of laundry and getting it put away neatly. Unfortunately, the ironing wasn't touched, so that will need to get finished today and tomorrow.

After Mike and Katie arrived our celebration began. We decided to play video games and watch the Dr. Who marathon that was playing on BBC America. The evening started with Rock Band. It was hilarious! The family members who didn't get to play an instrument all gathered around the microphone and sang. Loudly. And off key. Did I mention loudly?

Allie was a little out of sorts, so we switched to Dance Dance Revolution. We had so much fun, but I was forbidden to take a pictorial record of our time. Spoil sports.
