School Preparations

I took the boys to the high school to register them for school this morning. We had to fill out tons of paperwork. Mike came along for moral support. I've heard that the new principal isn't receptive to homeschooled children. Katie had no problems getting any of her homeschool credits accepted by the last principal. Another student who had been educated at home registered in the fall and NONE of his credits were accepted. It could be that the parents had not prepared an appropriate transcript or it could be that the new principal didn't want to accept non-accredited transfer credits. The school will be doing an audit on my children's transcripts and will let us know their conclusion on Tuesday when we meet with the academic adviser. I'm praying that there will be no difficulties.

Most of the girls homeschool lesson plans have been prepared. We will probably slowly get into the school term next week. I'm leaning towards doing half days Monday through Thursday and a full day on Friday. We're going to be adjusting to a huge change in our time to get up each day and I'd like it to be as painless as possible.
