We've been hit with really bad thunderstorms, high winds, and lots of rain for the last 4 days. Our ground is saturated and flash floods are happening. My daughter's room in the basement ended up wet last night. The rain was coming down so hard that the window wells filled with water. Water rushed in from the windows and her floor was soaked. She spent the afternoon sucking up water with the Shop Vac and running fans and dehumidifiers in her room.
My daughter is very sensitive to molds, so she'll be sleeping in a siblings room for a few days. I want to make sure that everything is completely dry and wipe down all surfaces with a bleach and water solution.
The forecast is calling for rain almost all week, but I'm hoping we get missed for a few days.
