Oil in the River

During our journey to Battle Creek last Friday, we were able to see the work being done along the Kalamazoo River. A gas company had a leak in one of their lines and the water flowed into a tributary to the Kalamazoo River. Over 1 million gallons of oil spilled into the river. Our family used to spend a lot of time walking the linear park that is next to the river. The children were saddened that so much of the trees and plants were removed from the water's edge. Here are photos of some of the work being completed.
