Petting Zoo

The older children have been watching the geese and ducks at a local park build nests. Almost everyday after we finish our school work, Madelyn, Steve and Joe walk down to the park to see what changes have taken place.

Today, after I picked Katie up from school, the kids and I went to the park. We visited all the animals in the petting zoo, watched the ducks and geese, and played on the playground. The temperature was around 70 degrees and a lot of people seemed to have the same idea. The petting zoo officially opens on Mother's Day, so the kids were not able to get inside the fenced area. We still had a wonderful afternoon outside together.
