Amy graduated from her university on May 1. She was able to get 8 tickets for the ceremony, so her parents and all her siblings were able to attend. The university broke up the graduation ceremonies between various colleges. Her ceremony was mid afternoon, making dinner out a nice ending to the day.
The photos that I was able to take of the ceremony didn't turn out too well. The stadium was too dark and we were too far away from the action (or even the big projection screens) to get usable photos.
After driving almost home, we stopped for dinner and discovered a really good Mexican restaurant. The food was excellent and the prices were cheap. The nine of us ate for under $100. What a great deal!
Amy's school requires that all student perform an internship to graduate. Amy has been looking for an internship for the last 2 1/2 years! The college has grown by almost 50% each year that Amy attended college. The number of area internships is approximately the same, but the number of students vying for them has quadrupled. Many of Amy's classmates are at a standstill, because they are waiting for internships. Last Wednesday, she finally received an internship for the summer. We are so thankful and relieved that Amy won't need to return next fall to do her internship.
