Did you know that if you are innocently taking your dog for a walk and there are children breaking windows of an abandoned building, three police cars will stop and ask you if you have seen anything? My older girls were amazed at the huge response for such a small crime.
As I explained to them, this small town has a very low crime rate....the police aren't very busy. It's a good thing that we didn't have the laser light problem here. A swat team might have shown up at our door!
