My blood pressure has been really high lately. I know that I should go to the doctor, but I'd rather not go on blood pressure medication. The main problem is that I'm not getting enough exercise and carry to many pounds for my height. Mike and I have been talking about joining the Y Center again, but it's 25 minutes away. The rest of the family is outside living active lives, while I cook, clean and do laundry. None of these activities provide enough exercise. We'll probably join the Y Center when in the fall when the kids aren't outside as much as they are now.
To solve my lack of consistent exercise, we bought an indoor recumbent bike for me to use. I'll have the opportunity to workout after the kids are asleep or when they are working on their independent school work. I'm going to keep a log of my exercise time to encourage me to get exercise on a daily basis.
